Schoharie Satellite Center

The Schoharie Satellite Center consists of one classroom located in the Schoharie
Elementary School. We can serve 18 children during the hours of 8:30 – 12:30. This is
our second year collaborating with the Schoharie School District.
Schoharie Central School continues to be very welcoming. District teachers request that
Head Start children participate in activities with their students. District teachers also
provide information on what school readiness skills they would like our students to work
towards. The school librarian has incorporated our students into her schedule for a bi-
weekly reading time and provides follow-up activities for the children to take home.
The District allows us to schedule activities in the building after hours. These activities
have been completed in conjunction with the Schoharie Center and are well attended.
