Lark Street Senior Care
Lark Street Senior Care is an
intergenerational program that serves senior citizens with Alzheimer’s,
Dementia or other health problems. The program is a social day care
model and offers respite for caregivers for up to 12 hours per week.
The staff provide activities,
meals and assistance to participants. The center is a friendly
environment in which senior citizens can spend time with children and
have staff focus upon their needs in a social setting. Caregivers
receive much needed rest and respite.
Activities include outdoor
walks, exercise, indoor games, nutritious meals and snacks, arts and
crafts and games. This allows the person with Alzheimer’s or other
health needs to remain alert and active.
Caregiver support services are
available. Information and referral for caregivers groups which meet
regularly is available.
