for Center Closings for
Weather or Emergency
Center closings or delays for bad weather will
be announced before 8 a.m. on radio and TV stations: WGY 810 AM, WGNA
107.7 FM, TV Channel 6 WRGB
Head Start and UPK generally follow the school districts
closing schedule for snow. The Lark Street Childcare Center and Kidz Club
do not follow the public school closings for bad weather. The
Center uses the following guidelines in addressing poor weather
conditions. The Center reserves the right to close due to
inclement weather or in case of emergencies. The decision to
close will be made jointly by the Executive Director, Transportation
Director and Center Director.
If the LSCC or Kidz Club do not
open due to an emergency or severe weather conditions, the closing
announcements will be made on the following radio and TV stations:
WGY 810 AM, WGNA 107.7 FM, TV Channel 10(WTEN) & 13(WNYT),
and phone chain.
If the Center closes due to an
emergency or inclement weather conditions during operating hours,
parents will be contacted by phone and be given a minimum of 1 1/2 hours
of notice to come pick up their child.
Please note: If you call a center
during a snow storm or severe weather in the morning and there is
no answer generally the agency is closed.
Lark Street Senior Care closes when Head Start and UPK are
closed.
